I played 100 hrs of horizon last year and was an easy transition. HBG can be a lot of fun, especially with Wyvernsnipe on 'long' enemies, but mostly LBG's ability to run-and-gun makes it the more usable of the two. Which you prefer is personal preference. HBG is stronger because you can cluster on downed monsters. That said, it'd be nice if it got a bit of a buff, just not enough of one that it makes the HBG look bad.
