The person who follows right speech speaks the truth, is devoted to it, is reliable and does not deceive men. That speech is truly well spoken. This reminds us that our speech is not just our speech. When we find ourselves doing this, it helps to shut up for a while, practice mindfulness, and pay more attention to the people we’re talking to.
